How I Organise : Food Edition

In this new series titled How I Organise, I will be sharing my organisation hacks that I use in all areas of my life. I am a crazy person when it comes to lists and organising. The first in this series is Food Edition. From getting meals sorted for dinner each night to writing my shopping list. Stay tuned and let's get organised!

The first thing I do is go to my chalk board sticker which is located on my fridge. It has the days of the week marked out and a space to write next to it (I found this one at Kmart but i'm sure you can find something simular, or even just a notebook would work)

I start with writing up dinner ideas. I always start with Thursday, which is always takeaways since I finish at 7pm. I don't go as in depth as writing which takeaways (I decide on the day). Then I go to write the meals for the rest of the week. If in doubt I get inspiration from online recipes and/or blogs. The asterisk (*) notifies me of what I still need to purchase ingredients for. Once dinner is done for the night I pop a tick next to it.

Okay so next is the shopping list. I start with the first dinner meal and break it down into ingredients that I need (repeat for all dinner meals).
Next is things like coffee, dairy products, baking goods, bread and condiments. 
I then move onto lunch foods such as snacks and sandwich ideas to take to work each day.
Lastly I take a walk through of the house seeing if I need things like cleaning products, toilet paper and any health and beauty products.
Something I haven't outlined here is I then go through my list and do a rough add up so I kind of know how much the food shopping will cost me that week.

I hope you found my craziness sort of helpful. Honestly getting organised can be annoying at first, but once you're in the habit there's something really and freeing about it.

Nail Salon Review : Coco Banana Rotorua

So... Today myself and Laura went to a new nail salon to have a wee pamper. Coco Banana is located on Tutanekai steet in the heart of Rotoruas CBD. I thought i'd come on here and share abit about my experience today.

Customer Service:
We were greeted with a smile. We didn't make an appointment (our bad) but they luckily could take us straight through anyway. The communication and understanding of what we wanted was super clear and everything we asked for we got. Even without asking I was looking at the bunny bag charms and she opened the cubboard for me to have a closer look.

Cleanliness:
I am a crazy person when it comes to this. Especially when it comes to nails and especially with all the horror stories i've heard. The floor was clean and vacumed. The displays had no dust or finger prints. The chairs were spotless. The tools were clean and even though they were clean I saw the girl using alcohol to wipe everything down anyway.

Get To Know Me : Tag

Hey guys!
I'm back today with a tag called: Get To Know Me. I kind of jumped into the blog post yesturday, without most of you knowing who I am or what my deal is. Thought this would be a fun way to introduce myself properly. So hi! I'm Louise.

1. What is your middle name? Michelle. I'm Louise Michelle and I have a cousin who is Michelle Louise (she's younger than me though so I win hehe)

2. What was your favourite subject in school? If you knew me back in those days, you'd know I wasn't really a big fan of school. I did like food class sometimes and art.

3. What is your favourite drink? Non-Alcoholic: Redbull and ice coffee. Alcoholic: Champagne
